Beautiful breasts are desired by many because these add enchanting curves to any figure. But not all breasts are naturally perky, round, and full – in fact, your natural breasts could use a well-deserved lift.
A breast lift can enhance your appearance by giving your breasts increased volume and better hypeshape. By restoring your breasts’ youthful appearance or giving them that much needed oomph, it’s easy to feel confident in your natural curves.
At La Fontaine Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, we know that you’re dying to get in on the magic of breast augmentation and lift, from the initial consultation, all the way to the recovery period and finally stepping out with a beautiful cleavage and an enviable figure. Learn more about the road to perkier, rounder, and fuller breasts!
1 Day Post-Op
Immediately after the surgery, you’ll be taken to a private, fully-equipped recovery room where nurses and doctors will keep an eye on you and make sure that you’re as comfortable as possible. Before wheeling you into the recovery room, they will make sure to put a protective surgical bra on your newly-operated breasts, as well as gauze to ensure the start of a smooth recovery. Contrary to popular belief, all breast augmentation patients take about the same time to heal, no matter the new cup size they chose; what could take longer is the amount of time you’ll need to adjust to having bigger breasts.
2-10 Days Post-Op
The first two days after your breast augmentation and lift aren’t exactly the easiest, but are the most important part of your recovery. During this period, it’s important to let your body heal from the surgery and eliminate stress in the chest area. While your breasts are healing, you should limit mobility to your upper arms by taking a break from driving, lifting, and other activity that can cause stress to your arms and radiate to the upper chest area.
Need to go somewhere? Have a friend or family member drive you instead and help you with things that you would normally carry. Plus, if you’re changing dress sizes to better fit your larger bust, opt for loose clothing to start — in fact, button-up shirts are your best friends during this time!
Depending on how well your recovery goes, you may be able to slowly go back to your normal routine. Your plastic surgeon may give the go-ahead to go back to driving after 48 hours, as long as you’re not on heavy painkillers.
2-3 Weeks Post-Op
After two to three weeks following your breast lift surgery, you can start resuming light physical activities and ease back into your daily routine. But a quick caveat: it’s unsafe to engage in high intensity workouts and do heavy lifting. Basically, it’s back to normal, minus the part where you overwork and exhaust yourself.
4-6 Weeks Post-Op
A month to six weeks after your breast lift, you will be able to start seeing the results of the surgery. At this point in your recovery, your breasts will feel firmer and you may be able to slowly transition from the surgical bras you’ve been wearing to your favorite lingerie. You can even talk to your doctor about reintegrating upper body workouts in your routine.
A Few Months Later
A few months after your breast augmentation and lift, you’ll be ready to step out in a bold new figure! Plus, you should be able to perform all regular physical activities to full capacity. Over time, your scars will begin to heal and will eventually become virtually invisible. A highly skilled plastic surgeon should able to hide them pretty effectively, so you can be completely confident in your own skin, down to the very last inch!
